Conference venue
The LASI 7 conference, lunches and dinners included in the conference registration fee, will be held at Hotel Örk in Hveragerði. We highly encourage participants to stay at the same hotel for maximal interactions during the conference. Participants will receive their reservation discount code and room reservation instructions after conference registration. Do not reserve your room before conference registration!

International travel
International travel to Iceland arrives by flight to Iceland´s international airport of Keflavík (KEF) on the Reykjanes peninsula:
From Keflavík you can travel by Flybus (see https://www.re.is/tour/flybus/) or taxi to Reykjavík, Iceland´s capital, or rent a car.
Domestic travel
On Monday 8th of September 2025, participants can take our LASI conference bus transport from the BSI bus terminal in Reykjavík to Hotel Örk in Hveragerði. The bus will leave at 18:00 local time sharp to deliver participants on time for the icebreaker.
After the conference ends on Thursday afternoon 11th of September 2025, a bus will bring interested participants from Hotel Örk in Hveragerði back to downtown Reykjavík from where participants can either travel onwards to Keflavik international airport, or stay in Reykjavik. The same bus will bring field trip 3 participants to Reykjavík city airport (RKV, this is not KEF international airport) for their domestic flight to Egilsstaðir airport (EGS). Participants for field trips 1 and 2 will travel by another bus from Hotel Örk towards their field trip accommodation in the Southeast.
Hveragerði is a town and municipality in the south of Iceland, 45 km east of Reykjavík on Iceland’s main ringroad, Route 1. The town is known for its hot springs, including the Geothermal Park.
